Of course it’s all subjective, but I’m always interested to see what Sophia Coppola makes and have enjoyed a number of her films. IMO Virgin Suicides is one of the few movies out there that actually lives up to the source material (and I really liked the book).

One of my favorite movies last year was Leave No Trace by Debra Granik. Might not be to everyone’s taste, but I thought it was perfectly done. Just a brilliant movie. Ladybird by Greta Gerwig was great and I’m excited to see what she does with Little Women. Ava DuVernay’s Selma is really good and worth seeing. Patty Jenkins managed to pull off one of the only DC films in recent years that I actually like. Oh, and I forgot to add Kay Cannon to the list! Her comedy Blockers was hilarious.

I’m not actually sure what my roommate is up to these days. We didn’t stay in touch. 😬
